Ingredients:
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
3/4 cup(s) butter |
1 egg, separated |
2 cup(s) flour, sifted |
1/4 cup(s) milk |
3 teaspoon(s) milk |
1 cup(s) powdered sugar |
1 1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar |
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour and baking powder. 2. Add vanilla to milk. Cream butter and sugar together for 2 minutes at medium speed. Add egg yolk and continue beating for 1 minute longer. 3. Beat egg white until stiff, set aside. Add flour mixture and milk to the creamed butter mixture. Don't overbeat. 4. Fold in egg white. Drop batter from spoon on a buttered cookie sheet. 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. 6. Combine 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and 2 teaspoons of milk for frosting. Add more milk or sugar for desired consistency. Add food coloring if desired. 7. Spoon frosting over cookies immediately after removing from oven. |
