From the Handley Methodist cookbook. Ingredients:
1/2 lb cheddar cheese, grated |
2 (15 ounce) cans chili, heated |
1 onion, small chopped |
1 (12 ounce) bag frito corn chips, crushed |
1 (10 ounce) can cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cover bottom of 9 x 13 pan with a layer of Fritoes; sprinkle with onion, then cheese. 2. Pour heated chili on top of that. 3. Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top of chili. (need at least 3 layers). 4. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted. Omit cheese soup if a drier casserole is preferred. (can use a deep baking dish instead of pan for more layers). |
