This is a Danish meatball. They said it was in a very old cookbook. Serve over parslied potatoes. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 cup breadcrumbs, dried |
1/2 cup milk |
1 egg |
1/4 cup onion, minced |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 pinches thyme |
4 tablespoons flour |
1 cup cream |
3 tablespoons oil |
Directions:
1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, salt, pepper and thyme. 2. Let rest 1/2 hour. 3. Make meatballs. 4. Dust with flour; save flour. 5. Brown in oil. 6. Add remaining flour and cream. 7. Cook together until gravy forms. 8. Serve over parslied potatoes. |
