Frijoles Borrachitos (Refried Beans W/ Beer) |

Turn canned into homemade! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon canola oil |
2 jalapenos, seeded, stemmed, & minced |
1 large red onion, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 (14 ounce) can black beans |
1 (14 ounce) can red kidney beans |
1 (14 ounce) can pinto beans |
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin |
12 -24 ounces guinness stout |
salt (to taste) |
Directions:
1. In large pan saute onions & garlic until translucent. 2. Add jalapenos & saute until lightly browned. 3. Add black beans (rinsed & drained), and kidney & pinto beans (undrained). 4. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 90 minutes. Add beer as needed to maintain liquid level. 5. Mash & mix with potato masher. Add salt to taste & serve! |
