I am always looking for ways to use leftovers and to integrate them into a delicious form. Here I use my cold leftover stuffing, panko bread crumbs and have a hearty breakfast or brunch fare, great side with eggs, breakfast meat etc. Ingredients:
leftover cold stuffing |
eggs- optional |
milk- optional |
coating |
panko breadcrumbs ( try honey variety ) or cornmeal or flour as an alternative |
oil to fry |
Directions:
1. One does not need a egg milk batter if your stuffing is moist enough to hold the crumbs in place 2. This recipe can be deep fried also for a more crispy texture 3. I used my skillet to fry these 4. Simply form your stuffing into desired size 5. Roll in batter, then coating or simply roll in coating 6. pan fry or deep fry 7. Drain on paper toweling 8. Serve for breakfast, brunch or a side with a poultry meal 9. Enjoy |
