From Simple & Delicious. I made this with Egg Drop Soup, Sweet & Sour Popcorn Chicken, and some egg rolls. It's a basic, simple fried rice recipe. I was concerned that the seasoning mix would make it too salty (most things are), but it wasn't. It was very tasty and went well with the rest of the meal. Ingredients:
1 (3/4-1 ounce) envelope fried rice seasoning |
2 tablespoons water |
2 green onions, chopped |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
3 cups cold cooked rice |
1/2 cup peas |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, gently whisk together seasoning mix and water and set aside. In a large skillet or wok, heat oil. Stir-fry onions in oil for 2-3 minutes. Add egg; cook and stir until scrambled. 2. Add rice and peas. Stir-fry until heated through. Stir in seasoning mixture and stir-fry another 3-4 minutes or until heated through. |
