This is a really great recipe for using up homemade queso blanco (or store bought). Since the cheese doesn't melt its the perfect cheese for frying. Ingredients:
queso blanco (desired amount) |
1 cup self-rising flour |
2 tb pepper mix spices |
1 tb salt |
oil for frying |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in fryer, pan, whatever you're using. 2. Cut cheese into desired size strips. 3. Mix flour and pepper mix. 4. Dredge cheese in flour mix. 5. Carefully put in hot oil and let stay until a golden brown color. 6. Remove to paper towels to dry and immediately sprinkle with salt. 7. Enjoy! Goes great with a ranch dressing dipping sauce. |
