Fried Noodles Chinese Style |

We call it Hokkien Mee in Singapore. It's a must-try, mouth-watering delight. May be enough for 2 servings if you have a small appetite. Ingredients:
300 g noodles |
1 clove garlic |
1 egg |
100 g minced chicken meat |
2 tablespoons cornflour |
1 carrot |
chile |
1 slice cooked fish cake |
bean sprouts |
50 g prawns (small) |
50 g cai xin or 50 g spinach |
parsley, to taste |
200 ml water |
1 onion, peeled |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. slice the onions and garlic. 2. fry until light brown. 3. add in beansprouts, vegetables and fishcake. 4. stir-fry for 1 minute. 5. set aside the cooked vegetables. 6. mix cornflour, salt and pepper with the chicken meat. 7. reheat frying pan. 8. fry the meat until cooked. 9. make sure they are separated into pieces. 10. add in noodles and stir-fry for 2 minutes. 11. add in beaten egg and fry. 12. add in vegetables, continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes. 13. add in water and leave to simmer. 14. remember to cover the frying pan. 15. your gravy is ready. 16. place noodles on a plate. 17. garnish with thinly-sliced carrots, sliced chillies (if you want it hot), and sprigs of parsley. |
