These fried mushrooms will always be crispy due to the panko (japanese) breadcrumbs. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 cup milk |
1 scrambled egg |
1 lb mushroom (as small as you can find) |
panko breadcrumbs |
cooking oil |
Directions:
1. Heat enough oil to have two inches of depth heat to about 350 degrees. 2. Mix Flour and garlic salt together. 3. Add milk and egg and stir to combine. 4. Make another bowl with a shallow bed of panko (add more as needed). 5. Dip mushrooms into batter and then into panko, sprinkling additional panko on top of mushroom and pressing lightly. 6. Drop into oil and cook until golden brown. |
