Fried Ladys Finger In Yoghurt |

This dish is a spicy and a favorite among my friends. Goes well with roti and rice. Ingredients:
lady's finger(vendakka/ okra) - 100 gm |
coconut - 1/2 cup |
green chillies- 2 nos |
mustard seeds - 3/4 tsp |
jeera - 1 tsp |
dry red chillies - 1-2 (as per taste) |
mustard and urad dal for tempering |
curry leaves - few |
yogurt - 1 cup |
salt to taste |
oil - 1 tbsp |
Directions:
1. For all lady's finger recipes first wash and neatly wipe. It is important it to be dry before you chop them. Next thinly slice the lady's finger. 2. Fry the lady's finger until it turns crispy and light brown. 3. Coarsely grind the coconut, green chillies, jeera and some mustard. 4. Add this paste to yogurt and mix well. Then add the fried Lady's finger and salt and mix well. 5. Heat oil in a pan. Add some Red chillies, mustard, curry leaves and urad dal. 6. Add it to the mixture. |
