I had to try this out of curiosity and I have to admit it is awesome. It was a huge hit at one of my recent parties. Try it you will be amazed. Ingredients:
1 quart ice cream |
2-1/2 cups oven toasted corn cereal coarsely crushed |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with waxed paper. 2. With a large spoon or ice cream scoop form eight ice cream balls. 3. Place on baking sheet then place in freezer for 1 hour. 4. Preheat oven to 350. 5. Coat another large rimmed baking sheet with non stick cooking spray. 6. In a medium bowl combine remaining ingredients then mix well and spread on baking sheet. 7. Bake 5 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp. 8. Remove to shallow dish and allow to cool completely. 9. Line another rimmed baking sheet with clean waxed paper. 10. Remove ice cream balls from freezer and roll in cereal mixture coating on all sides. Place on lined baking sheet and freeze for 3 hours or until ice cream is firm then serve. |
