If you love greens, you will love this recipe. Very easy to make but great on taste. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 pounds fresh greens |
2 slices lean bacon diced |
1/3 cup red bell pepper chopped |
3 tablespoons yellow onion chopped |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Wash greens and shake out excess water then cut off tough stems. 2. Tear leaves into small pieces. 3. Cook bacon in a skillet over moderate heat until crisp then drain on paper towels. 4. Pour off drippings retaining 1 tablespoon. 5. Add red pepper and onion to the retained drippings and sauté until soft. 6. Stir in greens, pepper and salt then sauté about 10 minutes until greens are tender. 7. Top with crisp bacon and serve. |
