Ingredients:
1/2 cup cornmeal |
1/4 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
6 medium-size green tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices |
about 1/8 cup vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Combine cornmeal, sugar, salt, and pepper; stir well. Dredge tomatoes in cornmeal mixture. 2. Heat oil in a large skillet to 375°; add tomatoes and fry until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels. |
