perfect side for any country dish Ingredients:
5 or 6 green tomatoes, sliced 1/2 inch thick |
flour |
breadcrumbs |
salt and pepper oil |
1 egg (beaten with 2 tbsp. water) |
Directions:
1. Dip Tomato slices in flour;coat well 2. dip into egg and then the breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper 3. refrigerate 1/2 hour or more 4. Fry in 1/2 inch oil at 375 degrees ( I like to use a cast iron skillet for this) until golden brown |
