Unusual? Check. Fried? Check. Healthy? Okay, not so much :) But they sure are tasty little buggers. Ingredients:
6 hard-cooked eggs |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sacue |
1 teaspoon prepared mustard |
salt and pepper, to taste |
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup bread crumbs |
2 egg yolks, beaten |
Directions:
1. Cut hard-cooked eggs in half. 2. Put cooked yolks in a bowl and mash. 3. Add mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. 4. Mix until smooth and well blended. 5. Pack mixture back into each egg white half. 6. Put halves back together and secure with toothpicks. 7. In a shallow dish, mix flour and bread crumbs. 8. Dip whole eggs into egg yolk and then in flour mixture. 9. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. 10. Fry eggs in oil until golden brown. 11. Drain well on paper towels. 12. Serve with dipping sauce of your choice. |
