Something different for cucumbers and are excellent for breakfast or as a side for almost any fish Ingredients:
cucumber sliced in 1/8 inch thick slices (you decide how many you want for how many people. 1 small cuke will easily do 4 people) |
butter |
salt and pepper |
flour |
Directions:
1. Slice cucumber to 1/8 inch thick rounds, or, if you feel fancy on the bias (angle) 2. roll in flour 3. heat butter in a skillet til bubbly 4. lay cukes in butter and fry til light brown 5. add salt and pepper to taste 6. ***for a variation fry in bacon fat (you've been saving from some of my other recipes) or extra virgin olive oil 7. *** Also goes great with sour cream or sour cream and dill also on top when served with fish |
