Fried Bell Pepper Rings With Horseradish Dip |

Love the fried pepper rings with horesradish dip as a side for steak or burgers! Ingredients:
peppers |
3 large bell peppers - green, red, or yellow (i use one of each) |
2 large eggs, lightly beaten |
2 cups milk |
2/3 cup italian-seasoned bread crumbs |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
vegetable oil |
dip |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese |
2 tbsp. milk |
3 tbsp. cream style horseradish |
1/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce |
1/8 tsp. salt |
combine the cream cheese and milk, beating until smooth. add the horseradish, worcestershire sauce and salt; mix well. serve with cauliflowerets, carrot sticks and celery strips. |
Directions:
1. PEPPERS: 2. Slice peppers into 1/4-inch rings; remove and discard seeds and membranes. 3. Set aside. 4. Combine eggs and milk, stirring well. 5. Combine bread crumbs and cheese, stirring well. 6. Dip pepper rings in egg mixture, and dredge in flour. 7. Dip again in egg mixture, and dredge in bread crumb mixture, coating well. 8. Pour oil to depth of 2 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375 degrees. Fry green bell pepper rings 1 to 2 minutes or until golden, turning once. 9. Drain on paper towels. 10. Serve immediately. 11. DIP: 12. Combine the cream cheese and milk, beating until smooth. 13. Add the horseradish, Worcestershire sauce and salt; mix well. |
