Fried Apples And Onions

Very nice recipe. The combination of apples and onions is phenominal. This is great with anything grilled especially pork loin or pork chops. Enjoy
Ingredients:
1/2 pound bacon sliced
2 pounds onions
2 pounds apples tart chopped
2 tablespoons sugar brown
Directions:
1. Fry bacon slices in skillet until brown and crisp then set aside on a warm serving platter.
2. While meat is frying peel onions leaving stems to hold for slicing.
3. Slice onions as thin as possible and discard stems.
4. Core apples and cut crosswise in circles about 1/4 thick.
5. Drain all but 1 tablespoon fat from skillet then add onion slices.
6. Cook over medium high heat about 3 minutes.
7. Cover with apple slices in an even layer then sprinkle brown sugar over all.
8. Cover skillet and cook until tender about 5 minutes.
9. Stir to prevent scorching.
10. Remove to warm plate with bacon slices.
