Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
7 medium-size cooking apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch-thick rings |
2 cups sugar, divided |
ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a large cast-iron skillet. Add half of apple rings; sprinkle with 1 cup sugar. Cover and cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until tender. Transfer apple rings to a warm serving platter, and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Repeat procedure with remaining apple rings and sugar. Serve warm. |
