This is a recipe from my MIL and my aunt! We love it and eat it all summer long! Ingredients:
1 large cucumber sliced |
1 medium to large onion sliced (i prefer a sweeter onion) |
apple cider vinegar |
salt |
touch of sugar |
water |
Directions:
1. Layer the cucumber and onions in a dish that has a lid. 2. As you put each layer of cucumber, lightly salt them. 3. Let sit for at least 30 minutes. 4. Add enough water to fill container about 65%. 5. Fill the other 35% with the apple cider vinegar. 6. You can also add a pinch or more of sugar if you like it less tart. 7. Place in fridge overnight before serving. |
