Use fresh tomatoes Very healthy tomato soup 1pt on ww almost a zero!
Ingredients:
3 medium tomatoes, peeled and quartered
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup onion, chopped (1 medium)
1/2 cup celery, chopped (1 stalk)
2 tbsp basil, fresh, chopped
2 tsp chicken bouillon
1/3 cup tomato paste
3 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp sugar
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in large pot
2. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or till veggies are tender
3. Remove from heat and cool 20 minutes
4. Blend in blender 1/2 mixture at a time, blend till smooth
5. Return to pot and heat through
6. If desired garnish with addt'l basil or cilantro
