Ingredients:
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil |
1 cup(s) onion finely chopped |
3 clove(s) garlic minced |
5 1/2 cup(s) seeded, chopped tomato about 3 pounds |
1/4 cup(s) fresh basil chopped |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté 3 minutes or until tender. Add tomato and remaining ingredients; stir well, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until reduced to 4 cups, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta. Yeild: 4 cups (serving size: 1/2 cup) |
