I got this recipe years ago from a girl in one of my college classes. It's very similar to others on Zaar, but not exact, so I'm posting it for safe-keeping. I was unable to find habenaro peppers, so I normally make it with 2 jalepenos. I also cut way back on the cilantro from her original recipe... I'm not sure what one bunch meant to her, but boy it was a lot. Ingredients:
6 ripe tomatoes |
1 bunch green onion |
3 -4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 garlic clove |
1 habenero chile, seeded |
1 jalepeno chile, seeded |
Directions:
1. In blender, puree 2 tomatoes, 1/2 of the green onions, garlic, chiles, and salt. 2. Chop the remaining tomatoes and green onions and stir into the mixture. 3. Finely chop cilantro and stir into mixture. |
