This is so delicious, and easy. A great light dessert for summer. Ingredients:
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 (3 ounce) box strawberry jell-o gelatin dessert |
2 (3 1/2 ounce) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix |
3 cups milk |
1 cup sour cream |
16 ounces cool whip |
1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers |
Directions:
1. Heat strawberries, sugar and jello just enough to dissolve Jell-o, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. 2. In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix into milk, stirring about 2 minutes to thicken. 3. Stir sour cream into pudding, then fold in 1/2 of the Cool Whip. 4. Cover bottom of a 9x13 glass baking dish or a trifle bowl with a layer of wafers. Top with 1/2 of pudding mix then 1/2 of strawberries. Repeat layers. 5. Top with Cool Whip. Refrigerate 2 hours. |
