A cook book I found at a sale It is called Cooking with Cornelius It has some real interesting recipes. here are a few I would like to share Ingredients:
1 quart fresh strawberries |
2 tablespoons sugar (to taste) |
2 tablespoons orange juice |
1/2 teaspoon orange zest |
2 tablespoons amaretto liqueur |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash the berries, sort them, putting the perfect ones in a 1 qt bowl. 2. Mash the soft or mushy berries in a mixing bowl, adding sugar, orange juice, zest, cointreau, and pepper. 3. Pour over the berries and chill before serving. 4. Cook time is the chill time. |
