This is from the Diana Liu cookbook. I used medium prawns and just split the shell to remove the vein. I cooked them with the shell on, with heads and legs removed. It was a little messy but oh so tasty. Ingredients:
1 lb fresh prawns, with shells deveined and cleaned |
1/3 cup soy sauce |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup sherry wine |
4 green onions, chopped |
1 piece ginger, chopped (thumb size) |
6 tablespoons oil |
Directions:
1. Mix soy sauce, sherry, sugar, green onions and ginger; set aside. 2. Heat oil in frying pan until hot. 3. Stir-fry prawns for 4 minutes or until all prawns turn pink. 4. Add sauce mixture; bring to boil. 5. Serve hot as part of a chinese meal. |
