This chutney can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to three days. Ingredients:
1 cup chopped red onion |
1/3 cup packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup currants |
1/4 cup rice vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper |
1/2 teaspoon minced peeled fresh ginger |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
3 cups chopped peeled pear |
Directions:
1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes. Place in a medium bowl; stir in pear. |
