Fresh Pear And Gorgonzola Salad |

There is just something about fresh pears combined with crumbled gorgonzola, tasted walnuts and an italian dressing with a bite! One of my favorites. Ingredients:
1 cup walnut halves/pieces |
4 - 6 cups torn mixed greens |
1/2 cup vinaigrette (i use la martinique. . .it's the best with this recipe) |
2 pears, peeled, cored & sliced |
1/4 c gorgonzola (or to taste) |
Directions:
1. Place walnuts in dry skillet and turn the heat to medium. 2. Toast, shaking the pan frequently, until they are aromatic and begin to darken in color; 3 - 5 minutes. 3. Set aside and let cool. 4. Toss the greens and most of the vinaigrette. 5. Divide among 4 plates. 6. Cover with pear slices. 7. Sprinkle crumbled Gorgonzola all over. 8. Crumble or chop walnuts, then scatter over the salad. 9. Drizzle remaining vinaigrette over salad and serve. 10. Enjoy. |
