This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Olsen Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
5 peaches |
1-1/2 cups sugar |
1-1/2 cups milk |
1-1/2 cups heavy cream |
1 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. In a kettle of boiling water blanch peaches for 1 minute then transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop cooking. 2. Peel and pit peaches. 3. Puree peaches in a blender. 4. In a large bowl stir together sugar, milk and cream stirring until sugar is dissolved then stir in puree and vanilla. 5. Freeze mixture in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturer instructions. |
