No time to cut up fruit? Stop by the deli or supermarket salad bar Saturday night. Toss the fruit with lemon juice to keep it looking fresh. Ingredients:
2/3 cup sugar |
1/3 cup honey |
5 tablespoons white vinegar |
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup vegetable oil, chilled |
8 cups assorted fruit (melon cubes, strawberry halves, pineapple chunks) |
Directions:
1. Process first 8 ingredients in a blender until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. With blender running, add oil in a slow, steady stream. Chill 8 hours, if desired. Serve with assorted fruit. |
