This goes great with sliced oven- toasted french bread or served with tortilla chips served as a snack or appetizers for parties. (I personally like it with the french toasted bread) I created this recipe myself when i was having company over, and didn't know what to serve before dinner, and they all LOVED it Ingredients:
2 large fresh peeled and seeded cucumbers |
1/2 cup real mayonise |
2 treaspoonfuls of crushed red pepper |
salt & pepper to taste |
serve on oven-toasted sliced french bread or use as dip with tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. Peel cucumbers, and take out the seeds 2. using a food processor or grater, grate the cucumber . 3. add the hot crushed red pepper and mayonaise, add the salt & Pepper and mix well ............Its That simple 4. slice french bread into thin slices arrange slices on a cookie sheet 5. bake at 350 degree oven till brown & crispy (12 minutes or so) 6. let bread cool. arrange bread in a serving dish. put cucumber dip/spread in a small bowl with a small spoon in the middle of serving dish containg the bread...........and watch it disappear |
