My mother and grandmother both used this recipe every spring and summer as the lettuce started to produce in the garden. It is quick and simple with only a few ingredients, yet served with just fresh leaf lettuce and spring onions, so good! You might have to adjust the ingredients depending on what you like better, sweet or tart. Ingredients:
1 cup fresh cream |
3 tablespoons sugar |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
1/8-1/4 teaspoon salt |
fresh ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together. 2. Do not shake in dressing in a salad dressing shaker, the cream will become too thick to pour! 3. Chill in fridge till ready to serve. |
