Tyler Florence made this relish or at least one close to it on his Thanksgiving special. I was intrigued by the idea of a cranberry dish where you didn't cook the cranberries so I decided to try this for our Thanksgiving dinner - I loved it - couldn't stop eating it and neither could the others. Try it - the fresh flavors are wonderful! Although it's not cooked the dish must sit for awhile so I put that under the cook time. Ingredients:
2 (12 ounce) bags fresh cranberries |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup grand marnier |
1 orange, zested and juiced |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in the food processor, pulsing several times till all the cranberries are chopped fine, but still have some chunks to them. 2. Put relish in a bowl and stir to make sure that the ingredients are well mixed. 3. Allow relish to sit for at least 30 minutes at room temperature as this will allow the flavors to meld well. |
