This is my mother's recipe Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup flour |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 dash salt |
6 cups apples (macintosh or courtland) |
2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 450. 2. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. 3. Mix lightly with apples. 4. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. 5. Dot with butter. 6. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust,. |
