This recipe came in very handy when I realized we had no mustard for our hot dogs and we were 20 miles from the nearest store! This is from 'Even More Top Secret Recipes' by Todd Wilbur. Ingredients:
4 teaspoons dry ground mustard |
1/4 cup water |
3 tablespoons white vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon wondra flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt, plus |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon turmeric |
1 pinch garlic powder |
1 pinch paprika |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. 2. Whisk until smooth. 3. When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often. 4. Remove pan from heat and cover until cool. 5. Chill in a covered container. |
