I got this recipe from a random internet search when I was looking for a salad dressing to serve during my French-themed dinner night. This totally reminds me of something I've eaten in a restaraunt...it's so good, and ended up being my favorite part of the entire meal! Best served over a bed of mixed organic baby greens. There aren't a lot of ingredients, so substitutions are not recommended. Ingredients:
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt (or sea salt) |
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar |
1 tablespoon shallot, finely minced |
1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, vinegar, and shallot. Let stand for about 10 minutes. 2. Whisk in the Dijon mustard and olive oil. 3. Taste. If too sharp, add more olive oil and salt. |
