French Toast With Honey Cream Fraiche |

I used stale egg bread and it came out great too. Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1/4 cup cream or milk |
1 tsp vanilla |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
2 to 3 tbs butter |
1/2 of a french baguette sliced 1/4 inch thick |
1/4 cup lavender honey ( drizzle topping) |
1/2 cup sliced almonds ( topping ) |
honey cream fraiche: ( creamy topping ) recipe follows below |
1 cup cream fraiche |
1/4 cup heavy cream whipped |
1/4 cup lavender honey |
Directions:
1. Whisk together eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, cream and salt. 2. In skillet on mediun heat, melt half of the butter. 3. Dip bread in egg mixture and shake off excess ( do not soak ) 4. Fry in batches until golden brown, both sides. 5. Remove and keep warm in a 200F oven. 6. Top each slice with a dollop of of honey cream fraiche, drizzle of honey and some almonds 7. Note: lavender honey made from lavender blossoms does not taste like lavender and one can use any type of honey if desired |
