This is the most incredible french toast. It is so tasty and so easy. I often serve this to overnight guests and I always get glowing reviews. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1/2 stick butter |
1 tablespoon light corn syrup |
1 loaf french bread cut diagonally into 16 slices |
5 eggs |
2 cups milk |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In medium bowl with pastry blender combine sugar, butter and corn syrup until well mixed. 2. Press in bottom of unbuttered jelly roll pan. 3. Place bread slices over brown sugar mixture. 4. In another medium bowl beat eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla until well blended. 5. Pour evenly over bread. 6. Cover then refrigerate overnight. 7. Heat oven to 350. 8. Sprinkle with pecans and bake for 35 minutes. |
