Ingredients:
1 cup(s) half-and-half
3 large eggs
2 tablespoon(s) honey, warmed in microwave for 20 seconds
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
8 slice(s) day-old or stale italian bread
4 tablespoon(s) butter
sprinkle cinnamon
Directions:
1. **For bread, may buy a fresh loaf and slice it/leave it out the night before
2. - In medium bowl, whisk together the half and half, eggs, honey and salt. (may do this the night before so that there's less work to do in the morning). After mixed, pour this into a pie pan and set aside.
3. - Preheat over to 375 degrees. Dip bread into mixture and allow to soak for 30 seconds on each side. Then remove to a cooling rack set inside a sheet pan, and allow it to sit for 1 to 2 minutes (this lets the excess custard drip off).
4. - Over medium-high heat, melt 1 TB butter in a 10 inch non-stick skillet. Place 2 slices of bread and cook until golden brown, approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove from pan and place on rack in the oven for 5 minutes. Repeat with all 8 slices.
