My favorite recipe for French Toast.
Ingredients:
6-8 slices bread
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp of melted salted butter + 1 tbsp of butter for skillet
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Take 2 tbsp of melted butter and whisk it with the egg, milk, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
3. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
4. Soak the bread in the mixture.
5. Remove the bread from the batter, allowing the excess batter to drip off.
6. Put the bread in the skillet until golden brown on each side. (2-3 minutes each side.)
7. Remove from skillet and transfer to a baking sheet.
8. Bake in oven for about 10 minutes until crispy.
9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with favorite syrup.
