An altered version of Cheryl Thebeau-Blevins French Toast II /French-Toast-II-3370 Ingredients:
12 slices texas toast thick bread |
6 eggs |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
1/4 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 tablespoon butter, to grease pan |
1 tablespoon butter, to grease pan |
1 tablespoon butter, to grease pan |
Directions:
1. Whisk the eggs in bowl. 2. Add remaining ingredients, and mix well. 3. Over medium heat, lightly grease pan or griddle with 1 tablespoon butter (4 slices of bread fit in my pan). 4. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, flip to coat each side. Do this quickly, so as not to completely soak the bread. 5. Place on pan over medium heat for approx 2-3 min per side. Flip to repeat on reverse side. 6. Slice on a diagonal and serve with powdered sugar or syrup. |
