This simple dressing has served me for many years. Using this basic recipe, I can easily make simple variations, usually with ingredients I have on hand. As a result, I have always made my own salad dressings. -Carolyn Ozment, Gaylesville, Alabama Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 garlic clove, minced |
dash pepper |
salad greens |
Directions:
1. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the oil, vinegar, salt, garlic and pepper; shake well. Serve over salad greens. Yield: about 1/3 cup. |
