French Salad Dressing is a popular topper for lettuce. Says field editor Jane Barta of St. Thomas, North Dakota, We used this dressing at a drive-in and sold a lot of salads. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups vegetable oil |
1 cup ketchup |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup vinegar |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients until smooth. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: about 3-1/3 cups. |
