MUCH lower in calories than usual pecan pie! But only if you get there before I do. Ingredients:
3 egg whites, beaten very stiff |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
Directions:
1. Mix egg whites and vanilla. 2. Add graham cracker crumbs, sugar, pecans, and baking powder. 3. Gentleness not obligatory; just stir it all up and pour into a well buttered pie pan. 4. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes. 5. Do not overcook. 6. Allow to cool. 7. Top with whipped cream and refrigerate until ready to serve. 8. Pie (without cream) freezes well. |
