Ingredients:
9 whole(s) large onions sliced |
1/2 cup(s) butter (or margarine) |
6 can(s) 10.5 oz. condensed beef broth |
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) worchestershire sauce |
3 whole(s) bay leaves |
10 slice(s) french bread toasted |
grated parmesan and/or shredded mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Saute onions in butter until crisp-tender. Transfer to slow cooker. 2. Add broth, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves. 3. Cover. Cook on Low 5-7 hours, or until onions are tender. Remove bay leaves. 4. Ladle into bowls. Top each with a slice of bread and some cheese. 5. Note: For a more intense beef flavor, add one beef bouillon cube. |
