A fast, easy french onion soup recipe that tastes just like the restaraunts. Ingredients:
2 or 3 large onions |
3 tbsp butter/margarine |
salt and pepper |
4 cups beef broth |
3 tbsp worcstershire sauce |
3 beef boullion cubes |
11/2 cups water |
8 slices provolone or white american cheese |
sliced, spiced and toasted vienna bread |
Directions:
1. Slice onions and sautee until transluscent in butter/marg. add salt and pepper to taste 2. After onions are done, add broth, worcestershire, boullion, and water and simmer for 15 mins. 3. make individual servings in oven safe bowls at 350 degrees with cheese and toasted bread until cheese is golden brown on top |
