So delicious!! Nothing better than a hot bowl of French onion soup!! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil |
2 tablespoons butter |
6 onions, sliced |
4 (10 1/2 ounce) cans beef broth |
3/4 cup white wine |
french bread |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese |
1/2 cup medium cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Sauté onions in oil and butter on low for 30 minutes. 2. Simmer broth and wine for 30 minutes. 3. Add onions to broth mixture. 4. Toast 4-6 slices French bread. Butter and sprinkle with garlic powder. Break toast into pieces and place in onion soup bowl. 5. Ladle the soup in the bowls. 6. Cover with shredded cheese. Broil until brown. |
