Yummy Ingredients:
6 medium sweet onions (i used 3) |
3 tablespoons butter |
2 bay leaves |
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves |
salt and pepper |
1 cup dry white wine (i used pinot grigio) |
1 quart beef stock |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Caramelize onions in large soup pot with butter, bay leaves, thyme, salt and peper. Stir frequently and let caramelize for about 40 minutes over meduim heat. 2. Deglazed pan with wine for a minute stirring constantly. Add stock, worcestershire and salt and pepper to taste. 3. Simmer 15 minutes. |
