One of those super-easy one-dish meal slow-cooker recipes that I have picked up over the years, and modified along the way! Easy to adapt to your liking. Ingredients:
1.5 lb boneless round steak |
meat tenderizer |
seasoned salt |
garlic pepper |
2 t worcestershire sauce |
2 t chopped garlic |
1 package (8 oz) fresh mushrooms, wiped clean and sliced |
1 large onion, sliced into rings |
1 can (10 3.4 oz) french onion soup |
1 package (6 oz) 10-minute herb stuffing mix |
1/4 c butter or margarine |
1 c shredded mozzerella, provolone, or swiss cheese |
Directions:
1. Season beef with tenderizer, seasoned salt, garlic pepper and worcestershire 2. Cut into 6 serving sized peices 3. Layer half each of the beef, mushrooms and onion in slow cooker 4. Repeat layers 5. Pour soup and garlic over all 6. Cover and cook on low heat setting 6-10 hours, until no longer pink 7. Before serving, in medium bowl, mix stuffing mix, melted butter and 1/2 c liquid from slow cooker 8. Toss to mix, and place on top of ingredients in slow cooker 9. Increase heat to high 10. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer or until stuffing light and fluffy 11. Sprinkle with cheese 12. Cover until cheese is melted and serve |
