1 lb okra |
2 eggs, beaten |
1/4 cup milk, plus |
2 tablespoons milk |
cornmeal |
vegetable oil (for frying) |
salt |
Directions:
1. Wash okra well & drain. 2. Cut off tips & stem ends & cut into 1/2-inch slices. 3. Combine eggs & milk & mix well. 4. Dip okra into egg-milk mixture, then dredge in corn meal & fry in hot oil (about 375F) until golden & crisp. 5. Drain on paper towels & sprinkle with salr. |
